Susan Pasarow
Certified Nutritionist & Weight Loss Coach

Hi, I’m Susan!  I’m a mother of two living in Los Angeles, CA, with my husband and our two standard poodles.  Health and wellness have always been important to me – but my journey really began several years ago when I left my 30-year career in PR in pursuit of a new passion.  At the time, I was researching how best to lose weight from a balanced, data-driven perspective.  Why?  Because my doctor told me that I had “borderline high cholesterol.” Knowing that changing my diet and losing weight would potentially lower my numbers, I felt it was worth a try.  At the time, I had chronic lower back pain, sleep issues, and overall was not happy with how I looked or felt.

After six months of following key learnings and scientifically-proven ways to lower cholesterol and lose weight, I lost 12 pounds right off the bat.  I was completely shocked because it turned out to be pretty easy.  I never felt hungry or like I was missing out because I did not deprive myself of my favorite foods — I just cut back on them.  I then lost another 15 lbs. (25 lbs. total).  As a result, I lowered my cholesterol and triglycerides by more than 20 points, am no longer in the “borderline” category, no longer have  lower back pain or sleep issues, and I feel better than I’ve felt in years!

One of the things I enjoyed most during my PR career was mentoring and coaching team members.  These conversations truly gave my job meaning.  Whatever I did next needed to involve coaching or mentoring people.

And that’s when I had the “Aha!” moment — I would love to pair my passion for nutrition and what it has done for me personally with mentoring and coaching others.  I became a Nutritionist & Weight Loss Coach and eventually received my certification from Precision Nutrition, one of the world’s top nutrition coaching techniques used by brands such as Nike, Apple and Equinox, and professional athletes worldwide.

I am now helping my clients improve their health, nutrition, and lifestyle behaviors with a simple approach that they will be able to maintain for the rest of their lives.
